The Yellow Boat went to Cumberland Island to see wild horses.
They can play on the beach and dunes, or run in the forest or salt marshes. Some have been here since the Spanish came with their strong little ponies. Others were high bred horses that were released by a wealthy lady that had lived on the island. Together they made beautiful wild horses that feed on the grasses that grow on the island. If you are very careful you can walk close enough to watch the horses, but don't get too close because they are wild and would be frightened by you. Here's some pictures of the horses.
